| This thesis, linking Hermann Schench's way of chart With the set of musical notes, gives a complete classification in musical set and analysis as examples in Bartok's "Microcosm". The result shows that most pieces in "Microcosm"are characterized by semitone based on five tones. Their prominent peculiarity is that they are symmetrical in structure and polytonality in line. Making a survey, following the first class music master's footprints may help us discover more structural way of pitch organization and improve the professional composing quality in China.
