Nietzsche had seen the various pain and unreasonableness in the realistic society as well as the gradual fading of vigor when people indulged in the unfounded optimism. In such sorrowful condition of life, some people inclined toward pessimism; some inclined toward nihilism. However, Nietzsche advocated reshooting the "desire sword of overman" and recueing the essential meaning of life from the illusive world. Nietzsche inherited the tradition of his contemporary German ideology, deserted the entanglement of reality and sought for the theoretical origin from Greece, the home of human being's minds and also from the tragic ideology of ancient Greece. This thesis traces the source of Nietzsche's ideology, takes the pessimistic theory as the main clue of this thesis, as well as systematic discussion on Nietzsche's tragic aesthetics and his tragic destiny. This thesis includes three parts:Part one: Based on the ideology of ancient Greece, this part deals with the development of Nietzsche' tragic ideology which comprises both the inheritance of relative theory since the ancient Greece and creative points of Nietzsche's tragic theory.Part two: To begin with the meaning of tragedy, this part has made a systematic generalization in order to have a complete knowledge of tragic aesthetics.Part three: This part focuses on the tragic experience of Nietzsche himself and his ideology which is just the best comprehension of Nietzsche's theory of tragic aesthetics.
