Objective:The Mathematical Achievement Tests of the 7 ~ 9 Grades(the MATs) were formed,the items were analyzed,and the reliability and validities were tested.This study provided a measurement tool for school to evaluate the quality of the school education. At the same time,it made former work for our standardized test.Methods: The MATs were based on the CTT and modern statistical analized technics.The MATs contains 5 subtests.The contents include mathematics concepts,mathematics computations,mathematics reasoning and mathematics applications.Through the former testing and analyzing the items,MATs-A and MATs-B which believed equal were formed.Formal sample consists of 1018 middle and high school students.In addition,114 subjects did the MATs parrallel test.96 subjects' academic performances were collected.The items,reliabilities and validities were tested by the different measurement methods.Results:1.General results:The raw score of each subtest appeared grades characteristic.The higher the grade was,the higher the score was.2.Item analysis:In each edition,the item difficulties between 0.20 and 0.80 were 75.5% and 71.4%,the test score were distributed normal approximately;The item discriminations above 0.30 were 79.6% and 77.6%,the subtest average discrimination were 0.53 both.3.Reliability:In MATs-A and MATs-B ,the split-half reliabilities were 0.73 and 0.75.The Cronbach's α coefficient were 0.89 and 0.88.The parrallel reliability was 0.76,which showed statistical significant in level 0.01.4.Validity:The content validity was good.The correlations between the test and academic performance were 0.603 and 0.687,which showed significant.When we extracted 2 factors,they were general knowledge and technical of mathematics and mathematics reasoning.
