As a poet of great special features and achievements in Qianlong Period of Qing Dynasty, Huang Zhongze has attracted little attention and the research into his poems has been of modest depth. The Qianlong Period was a period with ideological and cultural fields strictly controlled and a high time of textual researches, and at the same time it was a period of numerous poets and numerous schools of poetry. However, the poetry by Huang Zhongze could stand by itself, bravely break through the norm of "restraint of emotion" , truly and boldly reveal the individual existence and spiritual state, and strike up "the plaintive notes of the flourishing age" . His poetry of expressing individual emotions was of special significance and very influential in the poetry circle of the Qianlong Period. This dissertation tries to explore his poetry comprehensively and in depth. This dissertation is divided into 3 chapters: Chapter 1 "The Origin of Emotion" — The Esthetic Orientation of the Poetry by Huang Zhongze, by tracing back to the theory and practice of the "origin of emotion" , analyzes the esthetic orientation of the antagonism between "restraint of emotion" and "respect of emotion" in Qianlong Period, and by combining Huang Zhongze' s personal temperament and life experiences, demonstrates the significance of his poetry in his times and his poetic value orientation of inheriting the tradition of the "origin of emotion" , breaking through the "restraint of emotion" in his time, and letting fly the personal emotion.
