The Highest Good Of Master Yangming And The Significance On Contemporary

The highest good theory of Master Yangming belongs to the human nature theory of Confucian school. In the pre-Qin days of China Mencius had raised the theory on Good Nature of human being, believed that morality is inherent, Marster Xun had raised the theory on Evil Nature. To the Confucian school of idealist philosophy of Song dynasty, Zhang Zai have used qi to interpret human nature, and put forward the nature of heaven and the earth & the nature of vigor. Cheng Hao have raised li to interpret human nature .Cheng Yi hold xing is li. Master Zhu carried on Zhang Zai and Cheng Yi The thought of Master Zhu is the orthodox ideology after the Yuan Dynasty in China. Master Yangming seamed the crack of Master Zhu' theory of human nature in Ming Dynasty. Master Yangming put forward the highest good theory. He thought the human nature of Mencius from the source but Master Xun's from its used.The highest good theory of Master Yangming believed that the highest good is neither the good nor evil. Forming one body with all things is neither the good nor evil, the original state of human nature is the highest good. Because the original state of heart-and-mind is the human nature, it's neither the good nor evil. The will is the mind thinks, the sincerity of will is the good, the selfish will is evil. The innate knowledge will present when the good and evil appear, let someone does effort to recover one body with all things. We can know the structure of Master Yangming's thought. It is forming one body with all things itself—humanbeing—heart-and-mind—human being— forming one body with all things.Mr Mou Zongsan established Moral Metaphysics, but he confused the metaphysics and the foundation for metaphysics, so his moral metaphysics failed. In western philosophy, the difficulty of metaphysics is to found for it, the foundation for metaphysics1 difficulty is the limitation of human being. Now Confucianism also faces the task of foundation of its own. We can use one body with all things to give the foundation for metaphysics, heart-and-mind regard as the ontology. The highest good of human nature can interpret the moral philosophy. The ability of human nature can explain the theory of knowledge. At last, to arrange rational social system to form one body with all things.
