Firstly , over-weight stress is laid on his particularity and diversity while lack of enough works on further investigations into his metaphysics thoughts . Secondly , talking about the influences upon him by the Confucianism and Taoism , most scholars insist on that Jikang' s ideology gave top priority to Taoism even some describe him as the founder of literati Taoism . Albeit some scholars are cognizant of the Confucianism contained inside Jikang' s ideology , few obversely elaborate on his Confucianism-outside-Taoism-inside ideology , it still remain superficial though someone attempted to dabbled at it . As a matter of fact , in his short life Jikang used to suffer the innermost tortures by the controversial pursuit of sanctity and courtesy . Trace the contradiction to its source, Jikang actually was the advocate and guardian of Confucianism, nobbut under the cruel and bloody ruling of Wei and Jin Dynasty , the Confucianism had been altered , thus Jikang' sexplanation of Confucianism in the disguise of Taoism was just to wish the regression of the legitimate Confucianism . Converting to Taoism was merely a hope to dispel the utmost pain inside the heart . His ideology focus really on Confucianism instead of Taoism , therefore, in view of the above points , this treatise applies the western modern critic theory to investigate Jikang' s inherent contraditions, its profound significance is fully shown by the diachronically and synchronically expatiating on Jikang' s theories compared with those of the ancient literati . |
