The Thought Of Ether School In Middle Period Of Ming Dynasty

In order to carry on the comprehensive research of Ether School in middle period of Ming Dynasty, this thesis chooses Luo Qinshun Wang Tingxiang and Wu Tinghan as it's delegate. We can explore the logical line of reasoning ideological trend of the Ether Talk and estimate it's position. So far , the study had theoretical meaning and value .It is important to study the philosophy of Ming Dynasty, especially the Ether School which is long considered as the route of materialism.Luo QinShun "Li and Ether is one thing", Wang Tingxiang "Ether is the center of everything "and Wu Tinghan " Ether is the ancestor of everything " are the most representative idea of Ether Thought in middle period of Ming Dynasty. The angle of Luo was to rebuild the relation of Li and Ether and become the first person of this thought. Wang's Ether ieda reached its summit and formed comparatively perfect academic system. Wu went on developing Wang's theory. Their theoretical efforts were the theoretical foundation of Wang Fuzhi's Ether theory during the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty ,Later Wang Fuzhi thoroughly summarize the tradition of Ether thought. Under the social condition at that time ,they regarded "Ether" as their philosophical standpoint, it differed from zhuxi's Neo-Confucianism and Wang Yangming's theory of Mind .They tried to correct it when they saw the drawback of studying existence of Neo-Confucianism and the danger to the society. They recovered the tradition of the Ether from Zhang Zai's and developed the orthodox Confucianism. Although their ideally efforts did not dominate mostly at that time, they had a very strong theoretically meaning and realistic meaning. So we should attach importance to it. This thesis is exactly a theory of making theoretical try, to clear the line of the development of the Ether School in middle period of Ming Dynasty.
