Confucianism Integrity Thoughts And Its Modern Value

As an important category of the traditional ethics moralities in China nation the integrity has various contents. Its basic meaning is honesty, keeping promises, and responsibility. Its existence and development not only have great influence on ancient China traditional ethics, but also have much importance on the forming of Chinese nation's characters of honesty and keeping promises. Besides, in modern society, especially under the environment of market economy, it's necessary and also affords special meaning for present integrity's establishment. First of all, we analyze this in theory. With the appearance of the lost of integrity under the establishment of our socialism market economy system, the research of integrity has become one of the modern China ethics researches'popular topics. Many researchers have already researched on this field and provide many plans, solving methods, experience, and useful information. However, people still don't pay much attention to it and those researches don't have a long history. Great sample research was taken just after Citizens Ethics Construction being published and developed in 2001. So there's still some vacancy in present study. For instance, the comparison of eastern and western integrity value doesn't touch the essence of the problem. From above we know that it's necessary to research on integrity more deeply. Secondary, we analyze the topic from the aspect of the society. Environment of integrity is the premise of establishing good economy order, harmonious society, prosperous nation, and people's happiness. People are longing for integrity. Especially since China has joined the WTO, the corporation of economy and trade is increasing, which urges us to further research and enhance integrity establishment. The value and meaning have four aspects as following: First, to research and develop into the thought of integrity is good for the forming of our citizens'healthy personalities and the establishment of harmonious social communication. Second, to research and develop into the thought of integrity is good for the development of the administration ethics establishment and citizens'ethics construction, which will help the social values turn to better ones. Third, to research and develop into the thought of integrity is the need of perfecting the socialism moral system. Forth, to research and develop into the thought of integrity is good for ruling the economy activities, which forming an honesty and equal ethics atmosphere and social environment. This article analyzes this topic in six aspects: The preface analyzes the status of the lost of integrity in China present society, and points out we should inherit and use Confucianism integrity thoughts to solve the problem, so as the all excellent thoughts in human history. As the beginning of this article, it gives a whole structure of this article. The 1st part starts with the germination of China traditional integrity, and then discusses the core factor of China traditional integrity——Confucianism traditional integrity 's origin, development and evolvement. This part introduces the main integrity thoughts of ideologists in history, and their impact on the society development. At last, it summarizes the connotation of Confucianism traditional integrity. The 2nd part analyzes the similarities and differences between the Confucianism and the western integrity thoughts by the way of comparison, and it also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of them. It shows us that some western integrity values have edification for our socialism market economy, and we should learn from them. The 3rd part analyze the similarities and differences between the Confucianism and the modern integrity thoughts by the way comparison. It shows us how to use the Confucianism integrity thoughts to serve present society, which means we should try to finish two transform. The 4th part is the important one of this article. On the base of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd parts, it discusses the status of the lost of integrity in China, and analyze the reasons of it. It also shows us how to develop the useful and discard the useless of the Confucianism integrity thoughts and construct modern integrity system. Our focus is on the "construction". In the last part, the author summarizes the whole discussion and lodges the hope and advice according to the development of China modern integrity. In all, according to the society state and international environment in China, the author hopes to systematically analyze the Confucianism traditional integrity thoughts and its modern value with the connection of theory and facts on the base of the combination of society needs and the author's views. The author tries to brighten and develop Chinesenation's historical profound culture and value essence, and solve the problem of the lost of integrity appeared in modern life.
