| The thesis studys a Beijing Opera performance artist—Fang-rongxiang takings a kind of cultual phenomenon—genre as a point of penetration. Good talent, solid mastery of basic training and consummate skill are essential condition for Fang-rongxiang's artistic success. Under his creating collective of being in harmony with each other, Fang-rongxiang had succeeded in artistic practice and developed his own outlook of drama—Fang-rongxiang'outlook of Beijing Opera culture through a lot of stage practice. The outlook of drama has strong cultural color. It expresses supplementary spirit and function of Chinese culture: humanism, robust and promising, harmony, and so on. Fang-rongxiang had developed his own unique artistic character: bold, tender, gentle and demure, glittering and crystalline in singing; full of power and grandeur, unconstrationed, free and easy in acting; pure and fresh, sonorous, accurate and exquisite in spoken. Fang-rongxiang's thoughts, nature and state of mind had also affected his artistic character. Fang-rongxiang's innovation and creating of traditional drama had suited audience's asthetic standards of new era, this had furnished a lively example for carrying on and carrying forward the genre in artistic practice; in modern drama of Beijing Opera, he had solved an important problem, filled in the gaps and furnished some experience for development of modern drama of Beijing Opera; Fang-rongxiang had contributed to popularity and spread of artistic genre and furnished successful experience.
