Huizhou was one of the four book-carving centers during Ming and Qingdynasty,the workers in Huizhou tanght the skills from generation to generation,thecarving art improved on from Song and Yuan Dynasty ,they carved a lot of exquisitebooks.While some workers walked with the Huizhou merchants to other places inChina,they took along with their skills,they learned from each other with the workersin these places,thus making Huizhou book-carving formed its own style,Huizhoubook-carving was very famous at that time.Huizhou merchants contributed much to the arts book-carving of Huizhou.Huizhou merchants studied while they did business,they gave much money tobook-carving,especially themselves devoted to book-carving.The merchantsbrought the flavor to the art of book-carving. The art of book-carving was prosperouswhen the merchants had plenty of money and it was unprop erous when themerchants were poor.Also the book-carving effected the merchants greatly,too.The art of book-carving was commercial beacause of the merchants,the traits ofthe merchants helped each other showed before us in the way of the book-carving.
