There are many disputes on experimental models and the age when children acquire the ability of pretense understanding among the researchers. Yet at present, there is no cross-culture study on the ability of pretense understanding of different nationality children in China. In this research, 267 Han and Tibetan children aged from 3 to 9 years old were tested by improved experimental models of Lillard. And we got these children's family and social information from their nurtures by self-created Family and Social Information Questionnaire. Finally, many children were trained by self-created training. The results are follows:1. Rate of pass on pretend-think and pretend-say questions of children aged 3 to 4 years showed an age-related increase on the whole; At the same time, rate of pass on pretend-think question were higher than that on pretend-say question.2. There was obvious influence on the scores of children by factors of parents' vocation, parents' record of formal schooling, the ways how parents get in touch with their children, the language communication between parents and children and children's friends. This research suggests that the children with better ability of pretence understanding are those whose parents received higher education, have an vocation with more stable income, get along well with their children in a more equal manner, and those who show more active and full communication with their parents.
