Mozart is a sublime genius in the world's music history,with over than 600 works composed in his 35 years lifetime which left us a treasure trove of arts.In an overview of Mozart's varied musical works,we found that besides those symphonies,concerts,sonatas and chamber musics which mark a special historical development period in the instrumental area,the most attractive to both the audiences and theatre people are certainly his operas.Among his 22 operas the most well-acclaimed and performed one is his last excellent drama-Die Zaubrflote which establishs an eternal momunent for the German and Austrian operas.He successfully explores different characters in the expresses the characters' emotion to spice up the atomosphere of the drama.He used all the operatic genres and music to shape all sorts of characters in this drama.this essay talks about the production of Die Zaubrflote and the various characteristics which are applied to draw different characters then discusses them in detail.As far as opera is concerned,singing works as a major means and operatic vocal mnsic is the key factor in molding the characters.as the condensation of characters' singing,the individual voice is the key in musical image,which provides the characterization and symbolic development with a framwork and the ultimate evidence to a further...
