An Analysis Of The Singing Styles Of Different Characters In Mozart's Opera

Mozart is a rare genius in the classical period.His works embody his incredible dexterity,and the structure of his work is complex but not mixed.In addition,the contents of his works are rich and full of fun and humor.What's more,each character in his works has distinctive personality.Among all of his works,"Figaro's wedding" and "Don Juan" are the most two outstanding plays that create a series of complete and distinctive opera characters.And particularly,the Arias of Zerlina and the Countess as the enduring soprano arias are well received by domestic and foreign scholars.In this paper,the author selected the Arias of the countess and Zerlina as the starting point.Zerlina,the innocent civilian and the Countess who is noble and wise are the most two representative female characters in Mozart's opera.This study analyzes the different singing styles of sopranos with different characters in depth through the comprehensive and detailed analysis about Zerlina's and Countess' s character and singing style.This study provides some theoretical reference for our vocal learning and singing.This study firstly begins with a brief exposition of Mozart's life and his works concluding early,middle and late times.Secondly,the study conducts a comprehensive analysis of the writing background,motives,and plots of the opera "The wedding of Figaro" and "Don Juan".Thirdly,the author analyzes the characterization,music style,Arias,and concerts of the countess and Zerlina in detail.At last,this study concludes the singing style of different characters in Mozart's opera and puts forward some suggestions for the vocal music learners about the mastery of singing style according to the author's concert experience.
