Zhangguying town locates in the southeast of Yueyang county Hunan province and belongs to the front zone of commutative influence between Xiang Dialect and Gan Dialect. This paper describes systemically the phonology of Zhanggyying dialect, comparing with Changsha dialect, Shuangfeng dialect and Nanchang dialect to exhibit mixed phonetic features of Zhangguying dialect.This paper includes six parts.The first part is the introduction to indicate the location of Zhangguying town, the present studies of Yueyang dialect and the significance and methods of this paper.The second part analyses the phonetic characters of Zhangguying dialect.The third part describes the phonetic system of Zhangguying dialect, including initials, finals, tones and coordination relationships between the consonants and vowels.The fourth part offers the homosyllable units of Zhangguying dialect.The fifth part is the phonetic comparisom between Zhangguying dialect and Changsha dialect, Shuangfeng dialect, Nanchang dialect in initials, finals and tones.The sixth part is the further discussion on two phonetic characters of Zhangguying dialect.
