Teachers' authority does not noly influences the effectiveness of teaching.but also reflects the level of teaching. Therefore teachers' authority is an important issue that should be discussed in the field of education.Recently, teachers' authority is weakened to some extent in primary and secondary school. It surely affects the effectiveness of teaching. So it is meaningful theoretically and practically to inquire into childrens cognitive rules for teachers' authority.Usually, teachers' authority is studied from educational theory point of view.Only in comparing the influences on children of different kind of authority, the psychological method is used and it mainly focus on the inflences of teachers' authority about knowledge and teachers' order. In a way of combining quantity and quality, the paper systematically discusses the subjective and objective factors of students' cognition on teachers' authority from a developing angle of psychology. It shows:Firstly, students' cognition of different grades change from obey to diaobey as they growing up.Students of different grade differ in the development of cognitive level. No matter from either subjective or objective reason junior students of grade two, senior students of grade two and three disobey their teachers' authority.Secondly, generally speaking,in primary and secondary school students' sex does not affact their cognition of teachers' authority.Thirdly,in a whole, the educational level of parents does not inflence students' cognition of teachers' authority in primary and secondary school.Fourthly, parents ' occupations affact students ' cognition of teachers ' authority.Students are tend to disobey teachers' authority if their parents are farmers or workers. But if their parents are doing business, these students usually obey their teacher.Fifthly, family income affects students' cognition of teachers' authority. The more their family incomes are,the more the students obey their teachers' authority.Sixthly, factor that affects students' cognition of teachers' authority includes four aspects:students' emotion attitude toward teacher; students' developmental level of self-consciousness; teachers' occupation morals and scholarship accomplishment; students' higher expectation toward teacher.Seventhly, teachers' authority has compulsory, limiting and realitive characteristics.
