Based on the analysis of related findings both domestic and overseas, the thesis mainly investigates the child's development of authority recognition by means of story-dilemmas and a series of related probing questions given in "clinical" fashion, which is in term of present trend in the research field of social recognition.Child's recognizing of relationship between himself and adult authority is one of important aspects during his socialization. Correctly cognizing authority and properly dealing with it is beneficial to his self development in the process of socialization. Parent's authority ,teacher's authority and social authority play respectively different roles in the child's development, and child respect differently to them. Child's obedience to authority decreases as he is growing up. The turning point from obedience to disobedience occurs in junior middle school. Child's cognition to authority shows different level in accordance with the chronological sequence. The cognitive level of child from the age7 to 17 are: external information oriented period-instrument oriented period-rationalization oriented period--individual self development oriented period. Also the ways child adopts to solve conflict himself and authority are highly correlated to his age, from passively accepting authority regulation to actively negotiating with authority, at the end ,firmly insisting his own interest.Although child's cognition to authority may influence the solve styles child adopts when there's a conflict between himself and authority, child, as a socialized being, is more likely affected by the concrete context when choosing a specific solve style. It's also found that child's authority cognitive level and behavior tendency is subject to variable of gender, at the meantime, though there is a significant difference in the behavior tendency between rural and urban child, there is not much difference between their authority cognitive level.Well-supported by related researches, this thesis, having concluded some rules concerning to the child's mental development of cognition, would contribute a lot both in broadening the research field of child's social cognition, and in training of child's mentality.
