In the contemporary literary world of china, Tie Ning has created a large amount of literary works with her unique rush stroke in Chinese painting and calligraphy. In her novels we can see clearly two kinds of completely different subject matters, themes and styles, which appear alternatively. Tie shows her concern on the common men's destiny, the self-examination on the value of life and the call for sincerity and freedom. The main concern of this text is to thoroughly expound and prove the two completely different subject matters, themes and styles in Tie's novels. The three angles of view in this text are Tie's expression on city and country, her poetic description and stern announce of women, and the double construction of the appreciation of the beautiful and ugly. Firstly, present the scene in the heart: write village and city. Village and city are two important sources in Tie's process of creating. Tie writes rural life with her passion of the life and reflects the rural life in her ideal. On one hand she is looking back to the village constantly, writing the unforgettable country-fellings in her soul. On the other hand, she is concerned about the city deeply and writes city life in the common customs. Secondly, explore women's world: the poetic description and stern announce of women. According to her exploration in the women's world we can divide Tie's creation into two parts. The first part is to write of women's poetic beauty by creating the image of pure, young girls and matured women, the second part is to reveal women's hardship and misfortune in life by describing women's desperate struggle in difficult positions which are caused by family and society. Then, people are enlightened to further investigate women's real existence value and the road to women's liberation. Thirdly, the double contrast of art: the dual construction with the appreciation of the beautiful and the ugly, In Tie's novels are two totally different art angles of view appear alternatively.
