Erya, the earlist dictionary in existence edited with regard to meaning ,focuses on monosyllabic words and shows some general features of the vocabulary in remote ages .The annotations to Erya by Guopu in Jin Dynasty utilizes many disyllables to explain Erya and reflects the trend of disyllablization. Guo 's annotations are highly valued from the perspectives of explanation of words in ancient books and textual riticism; moreover, it can also be considered as valuable data.Taking Guo's annotations to Erya as data, this paper studies the annotations from the perspective of coordinate compound words and provides meaningful references for lexical research and dictionary compilation.By means of classification, generalization and comparison, the paper makes a deep exploration into the formation, parts of speech of disyllables and creation of allotropy in order to unveil some characteristics of disyllables concerning formation, meaning, parts of speech and word sequence. Meanwhile, the paper also summarizes new words created in Wei and Jin Dynasty and synonyms in disyllables, and reviews Hanyudacidian's entry adoption, explanations and instances of disyllables from Guo's annotations, following which some problems of the dictionary such as words omission, items omission, outdated instances are pointed out. At the end of the paper, disyllables from Guo's annotations are listed in index for the convenience of reference.
