A Study On Disyllabic Words Of The Guo Pu's Anootation To Erya

Following ancient chinese and enlightting the recent chinese, the languages in weijin and northern and southern dynasty is a turning point and a crucial time in the development history of chinese. Because of the breakthrough development of double-syllable words, research on the double-syllable words have tremendous significance.In this period, many annotation books appear which is the crucial carrier of language , so research on this kind of book is an important method to recognize the situation of language's development and to reveal the law of language's development. In recent years, the accessible materials about relational research become more and more abundant and more attention have been paid to the annotation books. Annotation of erya written by Guopu is a masterpiece of annotation book, which is a trustworthy annotation book from wei and jin dynasty. The salient feature of using mordern language of that period to annotate erya not only gives us a chance to comprehend the language in wei and jin dynasty,but also helps to conceive the development history.On the basis of small corpus, guided by the mordern linguistic theory, integrate with traditional gloze methods, using conclusion,contrast and quantity and quality methods, we analysis double-syllable words existed in the annotation book to erya written by guopu.Double-syllabify of words is a basical tendency and law of lexical development of chinese, while in ancient chinese,many linguistic units look like double-syllable words now do not exist as a word in the ancient time but a co-use of monosyllabic words. At first , this thesis talks about the standard of double-syllable words, then we count and analyse the double-syllable words existed in the annotation book to erya written by guopu from different angles.The majority of double-syllable words appears in the book with the original text, only 1/3 of them explain the word directly. Double-syllable words which can be divided into 2 kinds, prefix and suffix, reflect the function of word-building. Since the double-syllable words of echoism word have function of express sounds and double-syllable word itself is concise and popular, guopu use to notate phonetic.The amount of double-syllable words in annotation to erya by Guopu is large and the form of word-building have matured basically. According to cheng xiangqing, the from of word-building can be divided into 5 stages and compund double-syllable words are made from the method of the word-building on the basis of grammar-using the main grammtical methods, such as empty words and word order.Double-syllable words of Annotation to erya by guopu follow the law, which can be seen from almost all the methods. The amount of double-syllable words made from the method of unity is the largest, in which the same-sememe and converse order phenomenon appears.Pian sememes and Zheng sememes in the Pianzheng double-syllable words in annotation to erya by guopu have complicated relationship in semantics,among which, not noly include Dingzhong relation between people and things , but also include Zhuangzhong relation expressing motion and action, Also, each kind of doubel-syllable words can be divided into small kinds futherly, which reflects the profuse and multiformity of lexical meaning of mediaeval chinese.The majority of Dongbin doubel-syllable words in annotation to erya by guopu has transformed from the terminology, for example, official rank in xianqin period to verbs and extends to common nouns and adjectives furtherly. Compared with Dongbin doubel-syllable words in literature in xianqin period, the structure of Dongbin doubel-syllable words in annotation to erya by guopu is more complicated and more similar with mordern chinese. We can also see Fujia,Buchong and Zhuwei words in annotation to erya by guopu. Among which, Fujia words and word made from semems-suffix is the majority and some doubel-syllable words formed by words with suffix,such as"zi","ran'and so on. The amount of Buchong doubel-syllable words increases compared with xianqin period and the part of speech extends also. The form of structure of Buchong doubel-syllable words is complicated and displays the multiformity . We can find very little Zhuwei doubel-syllable words in annotation to erya by guopu.In the last part of the paper, we mainly talk about double-syllable single morpheme words。Though the form of Dieyin and eclipsed form words are the same, theire nature is radically different.Based on ancient tone,we analyse the Lianmian words, which is divided into double-syllable words, double- rhyme Lianmian words, double-syllable and double- rhyme Lianmian words and un-double-syllable and double- rhyme Lianmian words.
