In the context of present-day multi-culture, researches on ancient Chinese literary reviews need to be based on "history" to explore its inner subjective spirit. Consequently, not only is a new framework system of theoretical research to be formed and are the philosophical character and utterance feature in native literary reviews to be maintained, but also the contemporary literati are inspired to form "a new aesthetic perception" by means of the study and inheritance of the connotations of the spirit of literary reviews so that "the establishment of one's own ideological system" and "return to one's own spiritual home" in subjective life spirit can be pursued under the new aesthetic empirical mode.Starting from this point, this paper reveals the accumulation and deepening in rational knowledge of "sentiments as the nature of literature" in literature for literati in the Ming Dynasty from the perspective of cultural research and macro-research and by means of multi-disciplinary cross research method in ontological philosophy, semiotic aesthetics, cultural anthropology, a history of Chinese ideologies, and sociopsychology, etc., and through the theoretical. expounding the implications of "symbols" of literary reviews and mainstream literati'sideologies and the conversion of formative context. In their survival cultural situation of expressing life sentiments and putting forward individualistic aesthetics, literati in the Ming Dynasty embodied their revolt against "principles" (cultural rule), their respect to "desire" (subjective personality), and their return to "the Ultimate Path" (mental spirit). Whether it be the "retrogression to the old" at the earlier stage or the "secularization" at the latter stage, the growth and variation of the consciousness of the universe in Confucianism, Taoism & Buddhism, and perceptible aesthetic taste are contained herewith. Meanwhile, it has been proved that in the course of "nature humanization" and "human symbolization", the formation of subjective personality and the "symbolization" of social culture are interrelated. The major characteristics of ancient Chinese literary reviews are identified by looking back upon Chinese literary reviews. In other words, ancient Chinese literary reviews constantly pursued "people's minds following objects" in organically and "the integration of humans and the universe" superorganically, whose constant exploration into subjectivity took on a life spirit and humanitarian feature different from the Western literary reviews.
