Literators' narrative writings' influence on the style of folktales is called "feedback" theory in Pro. Dong Naibin and Pro. Cheng Qiang's words. In a story-telling style, the novel scripts of the Song and Yuan Dynasty falls into the typical style of folklore, which gives the sign of "feedback" in literature. Case studies on the scripts that can be testified in combination with comprehensive analysis of the unverifiable script indicates that the majority of the novels in the Song and Yuan Dynasty were reproduction of the narrative works of literators. Storytelling artists seldom adapted the events in everyday life but mainly gather source materials of arts from official cases. And the narrative writings of "feedback" script were not narrative literature works in real sense, but historical works, including official and unofficial history, novel scripts of literators together with a few religious stories.Three reasons may account for the phenomena of "feedback" in literature: first, the writing style of the narrative works can not satisfy the need of expression and demands supplementary accounts; Second, the common features of legend they shared; Third, the unique process of literature development. Furthermore, "feedback" in literature is of significance in many aspects. From a perspective of ways of production, "feedback" enriched and helped form a more effective literature style for the novels of Song and Yuan Dynasty through the adoption of a re-narrative, collective, professional production pattern, which providing more writing material, a more free way of expression and bridging the gap between theme and the real life. From a point of view of literature succession and variation, the "feedback" provided the basic idea for the writings in the vernacular and a production features of adaptation. In regard to theoretical development, the "feedback" further the transformation from a stage of novel production which based on traditional historical works and bibliography a phase on the basis of light literature.
