While the ghost's image appeared in the China classical operas in particular, it's an unique dramatic art image and especially charming. The unique aesthetic culture is reflected from it in ancient times in China. The focus of this paper attempts to start with the culture of ghost's image, and announces ghost's artistic value with peculiar image and aesthetic connotation. The purpose of chapter one is to introduce the culture background how ghost's image of classical operas was produced. From five points of view of spiritual characteristic, function, existing way, sex and the performing system, this part classifies the huge and complicated ghost image.The chapter two summarizes the artistic function of ghost's image. The artistic function of ghost's image embodies in the structure story and moulds personage mainly. The function of the ultra natural force is enormous in the structure story and building drama situation where the dramatists promotes of ghost's image by using the real artistic expression timidly. It not only enriches the operas' artistic image, but also as a kind of soul mirage, is very strong expressive. Expressing the human feeling in ghost play by ghost seems extremely impressive too.In chapter three from two aspects of aesthetic and magical beauty the unique aesthetic connotation of ghost image is revealed. The ghost has inalienable contacts with death consciousness. The ghost image in opera art has aesthetic orientation surmounting the death, and has displayed compatriot's unique death consciousness and estheticism. On the other hand, in which the vivid ghost image and the aesthetics traditional favoring fantasticality, unusual and unreal beauty is reflected, has satisfied ancient audiences' unique aesthetic psychology.
