Su Tong and Bi Feiyu are two of the most influential male writers in contemporary Chinese literature filed. Their age and regional culture provide the two writers with much similar background. This article attempts to compare the two writers from the four aspects of their family chronicles creation, female world, the succession of traditional culture, adoption for scenarios.The introduction part puts forward the research background of this article by sorting out the background of the two writers' artistic creations. And point out the resemblance of their work.The whole article goes in four parts. The first chapter is the analysis of the historical novel from demonstrations of the history theme, family chronicles. The second chapter mainly focuses on the female image of the two. Su' s tragedy view on female and Bi' s understanding of female hardship are the two main aspects taken into consideration. The third chapter further discuses their succession of Chinese traditional culture with the aspects of seeking for aestheticism, and inheriting of language and person setting from traditional Chinese novels. The forth chapter analyzes their similarities and differences on adoption to scenarios.
