Practice Report On Liaison Interpreting Of Swedish Family Adoption Activity In January 2016

The article is mainly about author’s experience of being a liaison interpreter.What’s more,the content of the experience is all about international adoption,and the foreigners that the author served come from Sweden.This is the first time for the author to work as an interpreter,so it is a challenging experience for the author with the complication of the topic,the diversification of procedures,the demand for professional ability,and the serious requests.So in this paper,in addition to the process of this practice,the author also includes the detailed analysis and summary of this practice,from preparation before interpretation to the real process of interpretation,and then to self-examination after interpretation.This paper mainly contains four parts: the first part is the introduction and analysis to this task,including the description of the background and the requests of the client.The second part is about the process of the interpretation,including the preparation before interpretation,various situations in the process of the interpretation,and the author’s and the client’s evaluations about this practice.The third part is the analysis of the problems in the practice by reviewing the tape and the selection and the application of coping strategies.The last part is mainly about the interpreting knowledge the author learned from this practice,and the prospect for the future.
