Ding Ling was the first writer who had the awareness of feminist fate and conscious gender insight. In 1928,she published her novel the diaries of Miss Sofia, which shocked all the arts field and has been paid much attention as a typical feminist writing since then. Referring to the traditional Chinese culture , the paper analyzed Sofia, this typical female image, who was conscious of her female self and had a deep look into the artistic embodiment of the novel based on Sofia's unique cultural psychology and individual mentality, as well as the special cultural significance upon the conflict between Chinese tradition culture and newly-coming Western culture. Having compared with traditional judging subject ,the paper made a deep observation on the psychological structure of the writer. It emphasized the cultural choice from the point view of feminism by analyzing the images in the novel. From the angle of view of cultural history we have a positive attitude to Ding Ling'self consciousness. This is the point of the paper. This is an illustration of the traditional patterns of sexual distinction in irony. This anti-culturalcharacter more conspicuously described by DingLing in her portraying. The description of hom osexuality of women in her works is also an intention to negate the existing cultural order. Her works of the same kind coming out in different ages and meeting with more or less same fortune in her respective cultural reality had to be listed in the"otherkind". The rich cultural information laying in the creation of the female writers is worth probing. With Dingling's consciousness of strengtheningself, the author discusses the distinct psychological characteristics of taking male as a frame of reference in Dinglings'inditement,an danaly sesits significance from the cultureal historical point of view. I believe that the comparative analysis of the images in Ding Ling's novels from the angle of deconstruction is a break through in this field and this can contribute to the study of gender in literature.
