As a scholar of distinguishing bogus and historian, Cui Shu committed himself to the research of ancient history in his whole life, then had outstanding achievement in checking proof and distinguishing bogus aspects and definited position in the academe of Qing dynasty.Cui Shu was famouse for doubting ancient history. His doubting ancient history was in the beginning of faith and for protecting Tao. He was an especial Confucius that couldn't be neglect because there was a kind of critical and suspicious spirit that was accorded with China Confucius in his academe. Sometimes, for protecting Tao, he even doubted several classicalness. So excessive that he went into the edge of traditional Confucius. At the age of Qianlong and Jiaqing, the academe of Han dynasty was on the top position and the academe of Zhu Xi become to regnant learning field. Here, Cui Shu was belonged to neither Han nor Song in the self-conscious arrangement but also belonged to both Han and Song in the opposite aspect.Cui Shu refuted the theory of Lu Jiuyuan and Wang Yangming, opposed the opinions of Confucius of Song dynasty. He was involved in the researching of ancient history and broke a unique route of history. Therefore, he acquired definite achievement in distinguishing bogus of ancient history. These achievements built upon his methods and principles of distinguish bogus, studious reading, courageous suspicion, being good at choice and spirit of checking and distinguish. But he also had the lack of his academe liking every scholar in the history.Concerning the opinion of Cui Shu's academe, it was inconsistent in the history. Somebody highly complimented, while the others deeply lowered. Now we hope, people have a fair-minded opinion on his academe, which can develop his strongpoint and avoid his shortcoming.
