The Validity Of The Interpersonal Perception Task-15 And Comparison Study Of Interpersonal Perception In Schizophrenia

Objective: Introduce Interpersonal Perception Task-15(IPT-15),to analyze its reliability and validity,and to provide an objective and effective instrument for the study of interpersonal perception.To measure interpersonal perception,theory of mind and attribution style of schizophrenia patients,to study the characteristics of interpersonal perception in schizophrenia.Methods: Introduce IPT-15 and through translation and cultural debugging to make it localized.On the basis of the preliminary experiment,280 participants were selected to test the validity of the task.Select the test-retest reliability and internal consistency reliability to test the reliability,and select the structure validity and criterion validity to test the validity.The 50 patients with stable schizophrenia in the mental health center of wuxi were selected,at the same time,50 normal subjects were selected as the control group.Two groups were tested by IPT-15,a theory of mind and the attribution style questionnaire.The symptoms of patients were collected by the positive and negative symptom scale,and the disability level was determined by the second edition of the world health organization disability assessment scale.The statistical method was tested by independent sample t test,chi-square,analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis.Result:(1)The IPT-15 covers the five dimensions,and they are status,kinship,intimacy,deception and competition relations respectively.There are 15 items in total,and each dimension contains three clauses.(2)The reliability of homogeneity was 0.65,the coefficients of status relationship,kinship relationship,intimacy relationship,deception relationship,competition relationship are 0.58,0.44,0.60,0.58,0.54.the testretest reliability was 0.71.The test-retest reliability of each dimension is 0.62,0.62,0.61,0.60 and 0.51.(3)Exploratory factor analysis extracts 5 dimensions,and the eigenvalue were all greater than 1and the cumulative variance contribution rate was45.147%.IPT-15 has a good structure validity,and the correlation coefficient between each dimension is between 0.024 and 0.594,and the correlation coefficient between the total and the total table is between 0.295 and 0.766.(4)Research group behave significant interpersonal perception defects,which kinship,intimacy and deception relationship dimension score was significantly lower than normal control group(t =0.604,P < 0.05;t = 7.885,P < 0.000;t=7.825,P < 0.000;t =11.238,P<0.000);The score of the theory of mind in research group was significantly lower than that in the control group(t=7.084,P<0.000).There was no significant correlation between negative symptom score and interpersonal perception,and there was a significant negative correlation with the task of theory of mind(r=-0.337,P<0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between IPT-15 total score and the theory of mind(r=0.581,P<0.01).Conclusion: The Chinese version of interpersonal perception task has good reliability and validity,which is an effective measurement tool for quantifying interpersonal perception.People with schizophrenia have interpersonal perception drawback,psychological theory ability is poor.The improvements of theory of mind and the interpersonal perception ability contribute to the improvement of social perception ability.
