Chinese formulaic language is the most active, vivid, distinctive part of Chinese vocabulary. And most of them can indicate the special society life, custom, historic culture etc. of Han ethnic group .At present, the study of formulaic language in TCSL (teaching Chinese as second language) is rare. And it especially lacks the summary of formulaic language teaching rules. The exploration of formulaic language teaching's manipulation and general plan is also deficient. So we are really in need of talking about formulaic language teaching upon formulaic language itself.Chinese formulaic language has both generality and difference from such Chinese vocabulary as idiom, erigmatic folk similes and proverb, we should know about formulaic language itself well and then find out the characteristic of formulaic language teaching and the orientation & those standards related of it.Still we should know that, the reason why we draw formulaic language teaching into TCSL is that it surely has a special place in TCSL. But at the same time it has become a difficult point of TCSL only because that those students haven't a formulaic language dictionary in their mind and their mother language culture may disturbs them too. And this is also a kind of difficulty of vocabulary teaching in TCSL. Finally, it is also.an important means for delivering Chinese culture and developing their ability for communication between different cultures.Those foreign students may be interested in using formulaic language in their communication. But at the same time they often make mistakes in it. Based upon our investigation upon those errors made by foreign students, we sum up four types formulaic language application errors: errors in writing, in semantics, in grammar usage, and in pragmatics. To investigatewhy those errors arise, we find that those negative affect from their mother language culture & their knowledge of Chinese language and their study tactics & bad study enviroment may all do great harm to it. And what's more, this paper suggest seven workable and specific methods for TSCL as following:1 .to understand morpheme and how to form a word2.to tackle with the meaning in tracing to the source of the idioms3.to explain the Chinese meaning4.to classify the difference times that having the same meaning5.to reproduce the context6.to compare Chinese and other languages7.to use multi-media in teaching...
