An Exploration Within Cultural Aspect

In modern times, the apparel take on coding function, which allege the social rank, cultural taste and attitude of people who wear them. The apparel code of contemporary young people, as one of important part of cultural material life, is not only the demonstration of the type of apparel and life, but also young people's inborn need. At the same time, apparel code, which shoulder the social culture and youth culture, will have new idea, new concept and upgrade itself time and again, which can prevent it from being conformism.This thesis takes apparel code as essential part, and analyses the cultural connotation of contemporary youth apparel code. There are five chapters. The prelude describes the culture concept and apparel code's cultural transmission. Chapter one ascertains the narration and expression of apparel code, and concludes the specific feature of apparel code. Chapter two decodes the cultural connotation of apparel code via cultural succession and cultural communication. Chapter three mainly discusses the post-modern feature of apparel code and its fundamental nature. Chapter four looks into the foundation of contemporary youth apparel code. Thus we can cast light on the philosophic relationship between material and spirit from apparel code's trend, and also the political, economic and cultural background of apparel code from the foundation of it.The research on Chinese contemporary youth apparel code brings about a brand-new angle for investigating youth apparel culture's history. At the same time, the application of sociology, psychology can enlarge our researching aspect. Moreover, this research helps us find the developing discipline of apparel code, and its cultural background, and appropriately manage youth apparel culture.
