The Analysis Of The Verb Overlapping Contrastive Structure "V1V1O1, V2V2O2"

The overlapping is an important grammar means. Verb overlapping is one of the most important grammar phenomenon in contemporary Chinese. And the study on verb overlapping always is the hot spot in Modern Chinese grammar research. This thesis mainly discusses a special verb overlapping structure—the verb overlapping contrastive structure"V1V101, V2V2O2", attempting to analyze the structure in grammatical form and meanings, syntax function and pragmatic value.The thesis consists of five parts. Based on the analysis of the present research achievements on verb overlapping, the first part points out the significance of the study on this structure, and limit the research scope and the main method using in the article.The second part attempt to discuss the grammatical form of the verb overlapping contrastive structure"V1V101, V2V2O2". We analyze the order of them and the semantic relation between V1V1O1 and V2V2O2, and also discuss the condition of the verb V entering the structure and the type of the object O in the structure.The third part mainly analyzes the grammatical meanings and the syntactic functions of the verb overlapping contrastive structure"V1V1O1, V2V2O2".The fourth part discusses the pragmatic value of the verb overlapping contrastive structure"V1V1O1, V2V2O2".The last part is a conclusion.
