This study seeks to explore an effective approach to improve the efficiency of Englishlistening and speaking teaching. A specific multi-media English listening and speakingteaching model is proposed as a solution to the problems faced by English teachers.The first two parts of this thesis probes into the related theory and following rules.Later, on the base of this model, the study examines a group of students who participated intwo different listening and speaking teaching programs: traditional class teaching andmulti-media teaching. Two questions are addressed: (1) MT's influence on the listening andspeaking teaching.(2) influence of MT's advantages on listening and speaking teaching.Results demonstrate MT has a positive significant impact on listening and speaking teaching.Suggestions are put forward for promoting the use of multi-media technologies inEnglish listening and speaking teaching.
