At the beginning, this thesis discusses Zhao Shuli's writing ideas, which can besummarized in three main respects------public inclination, propaganda complex andproblem consciousness.His works is provided with popular characteristic, which can be represented by story composition, literary language, writing subject and character depiction, etc. This thesis shows the public inclination from the characteristic and the influence on Zhao's works.Another important way to show Zhao's writing idea is the propaganda complex. His propaganda activity is mainly showed on the related parts of the spreading mode. This thesis expects to use popular spreading theory to give a meticulous analysis towards them and to show the propaganda effect impersonally and impartially.The problem consciousness is also the prominent feature in Zhao's writing ideas. In those special days, sometimes it is in comply with the political consciousness, sometimes not. Zhao's works, especially those later ones have revealed the conflict, though the conflict behaved so implicitly. The thesis stresses on the difference between the previous and the subsequent works, especially the disharmony between his problem consciousness and the trend of the time.Secondly, based on analysis of the formation and development of Zhao's writing ideas, this thesis gives us a further acquaintance about that. There are three elements correlating with his latter writing style, such as personal experience, local culture and demand of the time. The thesis also divides his writing life into 3 stages, which are pregnant stage, executive stage and contradictory stage, from 1925 to 1970 in the point of historical view to lay out the changing process of his writing ideas.Finally, three main defects of Zhao's writing ideas are summed up and used for reference to the contemporary literature. There are popularization of narrow vision, weakened literary charm by propaganda and the excessively concrete problems.
