Based on the struggles between different factions, the paper analysed the formation of the Four Scholars and their exile experiences. Their writings changed greatly during the period. They focused on the scenery in the country instead of the bodies of beautiful young women. On the other hand, they didn't write only to entertain their guests, but more to express their true feelings. As the members belonging to the same faction, they absolutely had the same reaction to their misfortune, but they also responded differently to the great setbacks because they had different personalities and received different educations, which were vividly displayed in their works. Therefore, in the third chapter, we at first discussed their same reaction----recalling the good old days, then their different styles----deep sorrow and gentle, vigorous and firm, heavy heart and at ease, quite composed and determined. Different personalities made different feelings and different feelings resulted in different Ci's styles. In all, they made great contributions to Ci's prosperity in the middle of Northern Song Dynasty.
