Internet a ddiction i s a kind o f b ehavioral a ddiction , w hich i s s imilar too ther addiction on characters, such as salience, withdrawal symptom, tolerance and relapse et al. Most of previous researches focused on the relations between internet addiction and personality or psychological health. However, few researches were involved in personal cognition changes. The researches on other addiction show that the cognitive changes of addicts have been true. We propose that there is some cognitional deference embodied on both the ability of processing the information related to internet and the concept scheme of internet users between the heavy internet users and the light internet users. The target of our research was to discuss the cognition bias and. our research included two experiments. The first was designed to learn the difference of the attention bias related to internet between the heavy internet users and the light internet users by the way of "dot-probe task" .The second was designed to learn the difference of the general cognition related to internet between the heavy internet users and the light internet users by the ideas of Artificial Grammar LanguageSeveral conclusions had been drawn by us: (1) the heavy internet users had greater attention bias to the words about internet terms, internet needs and negative motions than the light internet users. The difference is significant. (2).The response time of the heavy internet users was longer than of the light internet users. The actual meanings of words affected heavy internet users more.In a word, our results show the deference among different internet users is indeed true, but we still do not know the mechanism of this phenomenon, so we can design experiments combining neural mechanism to reveal the characters and mechanism of internet addiction.
