Three experiments studied 7-to-11-year-old children's vigilance performance of monitoring color, figure, and digit, and the effects of age and sex on children's vigilance level .The results show: (1) 7-to-11-year-old children' correct percent keeps stable and their reaction time increases during 40 minutes. (2)Children's vigilance level continuously improves from 7 years old to 11 years old, but girls' vigilance level increases faster than that of boys.(3) There is no significant difference of vigilance performance between boys and girls of 7 years old, while vigilance performance of 9-to-11-year-old girls is better than that of the boys.(4)There are different relations between vigilance performance of three experiments and different academic performance.
