The war etching is an important part of the court print of Qing dynasty .Thisarticle consist of five parts: introduction;history background of origin anddevelopment of the court war etching of Qing dynasty;"The war printing aboutRepress tribe Zhun and tribe Hui",with difference and harmony of oriental andwestern art style;facture of war etching;thinking about the depression of the courtprint of Qing dynasty. This article researches and sorts out the progress of its origindeveloping and falling of the war etching according to the view of history and cultureas well as a summary concluding for the history of Chinese print. As one type ofwestern art style , etching has its character of western art. Qing dynasty court etchingwas a typically been interested in the nobility of Qing dynasty, reflecting thecharacters of nationality and epoch in a certain. The textual research shows eight setsof war etching have been preserved. It represents the evidences of emperor Qianlongtook operation to the area in west southwest and southeast of China. In these etchings,"The war printing about Repress tribe Zhun and tribe Hui"was drew by missionaryfrom west, and was printed in France, it is a sterling western style work . It hasdelicate facture and rarefied print ,expect this work ,other seven works were all madein China, they were drew by Chinese painter in the court, and made by Chineseprinter , these works' art style are combination of eastern and western style .The waretchings have a closely connection with the western painting genre in the period ofKangqian , these are very valuable data for researching of the western aulic paintinggenre and arts communication between the east and west in 18th century .At present,most of the studies are limited in textual research of historical data, they are lackingin the full historical research and comparative research in art communication,moreover they are lacking in abundant and systemic comparative research in the twodifferent cultural characters, finally they are lacking in professional acquaintancewith the technique .These studies ignore the significance of war etching in Chineseprint history and the particular worthiness of confluent painting between east andwest in Qing dynasty print. The study of this article collects historic material ,tries tomake a clearly historic development of etching in art communication between eastand west;on the other hand, it analyze the art character and technically characteristicamong "The war printing about Repress tribe Zhun and tribe Hui", the sketch ofdrawing volume and seven series of war etching. It explores and clears up the courtprint of Qing dynasty .It not only enhances the content of Chinese etching and alsooffers a microcosm view of the research for the communicate history between eastand west arts in the 18th century。...
