IISocial change is often accompanied by the change of art,because in the18 th century to the nineteenth century British trade controls the make of theNetherlands many items such as porcelain,textile and other eastern countriesinto the west,in the goods caused by the novel and pleasant at the same time,also for the mysterious and ancient Oriental countries produce curiosity andawe,at the same time in such a background artists in work is more or lessembody the Oriental culture and the things that bring their thoughts on thedevelopment and enthusiasm.Moreover,eastern culture had been introducedinto Europe as early as the 19 th century,and Japanese ukiyo-e,such as the taleof genji,also influenced western world views.Known as impressionist is deeplyits influence and the sources of such culture is also the derive from Chineseliterati painting and Oriental story spread into their own native culture but inthe back most of them are artistic inspiration came from eastern China.Ingeneral,eastern and western cultures are closely and continuously in line witheach other in art,literature and other fields.It is in this way that in the 20 thcentury,the west produced a figurative master painter--balthus,whointegrates the essence of eastern and western art.This paper mainly expounds the embodiment of balthus' middle easterncharm in his paintings.From his works and experiences,we can know how hebased on the western traditional painting techniques and absorbed the Orientalartistic features,thus combining them to produce different art forms and theartistic spirit with Oriental charm in his paintings.This topic mainly dividesinto four chapters,first of all,the first chapter,starting from the timebackground of barr di introduce barr di painting style causes(such as theFrench domestic situation,the literature ideological trend at that time,artgenres)early learning experience to Italy and preliminary contact are discussedsuch as the Oriental art,the second chapter mainly from barr di collisions withthe fit of Oriental art from his yamato-e and genji monogatari influence on barrdi works unique Oriental charm including learning for Chinese traditionalpainting and gradually formed a combined work his own painting style.Thethird chapter is the analysis of barr di work party implication in the Middle East,from two part of modelling and color interpretation and the fourth chapterfrom barr di the works of new thinking and inspire our own creation toillustrate in the current multicultural intersection,how to have a foothold inChina's domestic oil painting that opens the door to a new innovation anddevelopment.
