Job burnout is a kind of syndrome which is formed in the individual for long timeworking pressure. Nowadays,it has aroused general interest in psychology.Job burnout caninfluence the people's health and decline the performance of work.Because on-the-jobmothers shoulder the dual responsibilities and pressures from working and family,their jobburnouts are more.The present study aimed to investigate the condition of the on-the-jobmothers' job burnout and the relation among job burnout,self-esteem and social support sothat we can set the basis and guidance to improve the on-the-job mothers'life,working qulityand the health level.Based on the reviews of the intension and antecedents of job burnout,self-esteem andsocial support, 380 on-the-job women including teachers,nurses and business service peoplewere surveyed by questionnaires so as to see the condition of the on-the-job mothers'jobburnout and explore relation of job burnout,self-esteem and social support.The results showedthat:1. The job burnout's level of on-the-job mothers is significant higer than the on-the-jobwomen who have no child. It is mainly showed in two espects—emotional exhaustion anddepersonalization.2. There is no significant differences among the on-the-job mothers from differentoccupations according to the job burnout's amount,emotional exhaustion style and diminishedpersonal accomplishment style.Depersonalization's level of the nurses is significant higherthan the teachers'.3. On-the-job mothers' self-esteem had a significant negative correlation with jobburnout.4. Social support from different sources had a significant correlation with one or morestyle of the on-the-job mothers' job burnout.And in it,the working unit support had asignificant negative correlation with three styles of the job burnout.5. Self-esteem had a significant negative forecast function to the job burnout's amountand its three styles. Working unit support had a significant negative forecast function to jobburnout's amount and diminished personal accomplishment,and friend support had asignificant negative forecast function to depersonalization and diminished personalaccomplishment.
