Chinese piano music creation is the combined product of the West creative technique and Chinese musical tradition .As one of the piano music creator in china, Shande Ding not only emphasize the West's composition theory, but also absorb Chinese national music element, and have created many outstanding piano music works and enriched greatly the Chinese piano musical literature. Music is a kind of cultural phenomenon. Culture is the sum of spiritual fruits, such as spiritual face, psychological condition, mode of thinking and value, which could represent natural characteristics and reflect its theoretic level. Objectively speaking, music is determined by culture, and could not be analyzed separately without culture, so the creation of Shande Ding should be analyzed with culture. The present article would analyze musical culture from the angle of musical concept and behavior.The present article would discuss the fusion of the Chinese and West musical elements in Shande Ding's early and middle stage music works form the angle of Ding's creative course and background, musical concept and behavior.The present article analyze the "fusion phenomenon" in Shande Ding's early and middle stage works form the angle of creative methods, technique and thinking in playing, and conclude musical manifestation in works, finally summarize the valuable experience that Shande Ding provides for future piano music creation in China.
