The bisyllablization of vocabulary is a remarkable change on the evolution of Chinese language. From the dialectical relationship between meanings and forms of words, this text takes the monosyllabic words in Zuo Zhuan and disyllabic words in Records of the States in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty as examples. It respectively reveals the semantic characteristics of monosyllabic words and disyllabic words, and demonstrates the change from monosyllable to disyllable in forms of Chinese vocabulary. At the same time, the meaning of words is also striking out gradually. This is not only the aim of change in forms of words, but also in need of practical results. The trend of bisyllablization is a superior method to meet the requirements of communication in the process of linguistic self-adjustment. This text contains four parts:The first part is the introduction. It puts forward the problems and shows the train of thought. It introduces the means and methods of research in this text, too.The second part is the first chapter. It analyzes the contrast of the semantic characteristics between monosyllabic words and disyllabic words. This part poses the main viewpoint of the text, that is exposition of words'meaning. The third part is the second chapter. It expounds the exposition of words'meaning at different semantic levels. The forth part is the reiteration. By the dialectical review of "bisyllablization motivation" which has a closed relation with this text, this part suggests the basic motivation of bisyllablization in the paradoxical movement of language.
