Research On Improving The Quality Of College Foreign Language Teaching Via Modern Education Technology

Foreign language teaching is a practical course, whose focus is on practicing the skillssuch as: listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. How to offer enoughopportunities for the students to practice the skills via the modern education technology andnetwork in college foreign teaching is the urgent issue to be dealt with. Foreign languageteaching practice is different from science experiment. Equipment itself is not enough.Students' efforts are more important. Only if the students make efficient use of the advancedtechnology, can they highly practice and promote the skills. Then how to use the moderneducation technology reasonably to direct the application of media and network technologiesin foreign language teaching process? How to let modern education technology reallypromote foreign language teaching? How to integrate the application of modern educationtechnology and traditional teaching methods? The solutions to the problems are of greatimportance to the college foreign language teaching.This paper analyzes the situation of education technology, education reform and collegeforeign languages teaching and elaborates the relations among them. According to the resultsand the follow-up survey of the students, this paper makes a conclusion on how to use moderneducation technology to improve the quality of foreign language teaching.
