At the beginning of the 19th century, Russia intended to expand further southward his influence after gaining the governmental hegemony to all countries in Europe. Britain also began to invade Central Asia after establishing firmly"matchless world hegemony". The conflict between Britain and Russia in Central Asia was divided into three periods .At the first period, two countries primarily launched upon Persia, and they each sent some emissaries into Central Asia ; In the second period, two countries mainly wanted to restrain the opposite side by supporting another country( britain supported the Afghan political power, and Russia supported the Persian political power) .In addition, they speeded up activities in Central Asia, Russia conquered three khanates in Central Asia, and England controlled Afghanistan. In the third period, two countries happened direct conflict, and reached a series of agreements on dividing up Central Asia.From the 17th to the 18th centuries, the western big powers aggravated aggressive activities to Asia, Africa and Latin America in order to satisfy the needs of their industrial capitalism and expand the places of raw material and the commodity markets. In the 19th century, the conflict between Britain and Russia in Central Asia was not only the continuity of western big powers contended colony but the continuity of Britain and Russia exercised colonial expansion in the world- wide. So, The conflict between Britain and Russia in Central Asia was the inevitable outcome of European big powers contended world hegemony and colony.In the 19th century, the results of the conflict between Britain and Russia in Central Asia were as follows: carved out their spheres of influence in Central Asia, broke the traditional boundaries in nature that was formed for long-term, and resulted bad influence in these regions. Britain and Russia reached a series of treaties through four stage consultations, making sure north border, northwest border, south border and northeast border of Afghanistan. Since then, the borders of Afghanistan were basically formed.
