Discourse markers often appear in daily spoken language and are also commonly used in written language.Although the specific information is not conveyed in verbal communication,it plays a very good role in sticking the discourse components.To some extent,it is equivalent to punctuation or paragraph segmentation in written language,including some conjunctions,adverbs,phrases,etc.It has no semantic content,but a language mark used to guide and standardize people to have a better utterance understanding.It plays a decisive role in language and correctly use of discourse markers is one of the important aspects of improving written expression for foreign students.Based on relevance theory and coherence theory,the thesis use documentary method,corpus analysis method as well as case method to study the use of Chinese discourse markers in written language of central Asian and Russian foreign students.Firstly,it briefly introduces the definition,classification,function and differences among adverbs,conjunctions and parenthesis from discourse markers at home.Secondly,it focuses on central Asian and Russian foreign students' classification and frequency of use of discourse markers in composition and graduation thesis,and making the statistical generalizations.Next,putting forward problems that exist in the use of Chinese discourse markers in the written language of students from Central Asian and Russia,so that further find the types of errors of Chinese discourse markers and the subjective and objective causes leading to errors in written language.Then,according to the research results,the author puts forward some feasible suggestions from textbook compilation,teacher teaching and student learning three aspects for central Asia and Russia foreign students to study discourse markers.Finally,summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the full text,and hoping to attract more attention of scholars,teachers and students while improving the purpose of better expression of the written language for foreign students.
