The Achieved Mechanism Of Refusal Speech Act In Chinese Language

Refusal speech act was an interactive verbal behavior targeting for'refusal'. This dissertation primarily adopted a theoretical approach, discussed the achieved mechanisms of refusal speech act in Chinese language from the perspective of pragmatics and cognitive psychology, and research characteristic, directions of refusal, factors and achievement process of refusal speech act from static aspect and dynamic aspect.'Refusal'was a specific verbal communication behavior, indicated a verbal behavior of implementing a decline behavior through linguistic forms. There was difference on refusal and deny. Deny was regard to statement of negation, whereas refusal was concerned with behavior, concerning dissatisfaction at some requests. Refusal speech act occurred and happened after a verbal behavior of request, it existed in the condition of when a request was happened. It was meant to be a reaction to request, an unexpected response followed by verbal request.'Refusal'was an act of a nature of threat towards the respect of the requestor, where it deferred from the rest of other verbal behaviors was the fundamental characteristics of inevitable conflict for both parties in communication.'Refusal'was meant to refuse on certain request. It existed based on the premise of'request', and the connotation was framed by the'request'proposed.
