The Expression Of Women's Ideas

Zaisheng Yuan was produced by Chen Duansheng , a female writer in Qing Dynasty. It is a form "of the woman, by the woman, and for the woman" and has a high status in the women's literature history. Though it has been paid attention by some famous scholars such as Chen Yinque, Zheng Zhenduo and Guo Moruo, there is nearly no treatise about it except a little number of thesis, In the fields of narrative methods, characterization, and study of the opening end, this thesis analyzes the works and interprets the women's ideas in it.Besides the introduction, the thesis consists of the following four parts:Chapter one is a textual research and justification about the origin and the later development of Tanci. The writer makes a conclusion that Tanci can be divided into two kinds —Tanci for performance and Tanci for reading. From study of the author, the readers, the writting cause and the narrative feature of this works, a conclusion is drawn. It's a type of writting which has the features of fictions. In addition , it expresses the women's ideas ,so can be named "Female Novel".Chapter two is a brief account of the life of these two authors, Chen Duansheng and Liang Desheng .The writing cause and the story are also introduced.Chapter three is the key of this thesis. This part mainly discusses the expression of women's ideas, In a long history, women were in difficult situation without the right to voice themselves. From the late Ming Dynasty to the middle Qing Dynasty, many fictions written by women emerged in "the environment of talented women ". So, "Zaisheng Yuan "was written, In the second part of this chapter, the story is analyzed. A lot of light words, which can be read as an autobiography, was written in it. These words recorded the author's life and gave an opening path for the expression of women themselves. Meng Lijun, the leading role in this story, is analyzed in the third part. In fact, "a woman disguised as a man " is a kind of part transition in men's society in the atmosphere of "no expressing right "for women. And, it was also used as a narrative method by Chen Duansheng, a talented lady. Further more ,the narrative method is also showed on the episode of " a woman disguised as a man".Chapter four depicts that the love of Huangpu Shaohua and Meng Lijun is not the real writing cause of Chen Duansheng.
