Austen and Chen Duansheng, who can not be ignored, are the important existence in female literature. Aware of their own existence as women, they express their voice of struggle in the patriarchal society in which women are enslaved, dissimilated and repelled. In their works, no other than flat gender symbol, no other than synthetic with varied services, women are realistic figures with their own joy and angers. They became having the consciousness of their existential value and having the requirement of controlling their own fates and meanwhile realizing their dreams. Based on their deep self-thought,both Austen and Chen Duansheng present women who have been at the status of fringe and at the state of aphasia. They narrate the stories from the female perspective, thus giving voice of female consciousness.By interpreting the two writers and their works, the paper tries to highlight their female consciousness beneath the seeming obedience. The paper consists of four parts.Part one points out the two writers' active individual choice by analyzing their own social environments, factors of their times and their background.Part two discusses the two writes' inheritance and innovation of Cinderella model and Caizi-Jiaren model in the light of the Myth-archetypal criticism. Meanwhile, this part explores the universal spiritual demands of human being and the two writers' female consciousness in the two models.Part three, from the perspective of characterization and the special phenomenon "sex reversal", sheds light on the writers' opposition to verbal hegemony in literature centered with male characters in the texts created by male, and also their restoration of the distorted female figures in formal literature.Part four reveals the writers' contradiction between obedience and rebellion by analyzing the their struggles between sense and sensibility, between the consciousness of complying to traditional ethics and betrayal of main tune in patriarchal society on the basis of the writers' self-split and also the compare of different fates of the writers and their female characters in their works.
