The specialization of mankind's two hemispheres to certain cognition tasks has been proved by neurophysiology and cognitionpsychology. Face------differing from word phrase and object seems to bepredominated by right hemisphere. Although face recognition has already been studied extensively, the mechanism of self-face recognition hasn't yet been known well. While 9 months infant is able to identify its self-face, a lot of non-mankind primates that have highly developed cognition abilities can't do even through several years' training. Whether mankind possesses a nerve mechanism that is exclusive in self-face recognition? Many researchers have investigated the brain function of self-face recognition but haven't yet gotten up to a consistent conclusion, both two hemispheres participate the self-face recognition to some extent and maybe the right hemisphere is more important. In addition, researchers use a variety of instruments to position the brain function of the self-face recognition, but they can't indicate the necessity that certain district process self-face because they can't examine the nerve activity directly, so this research take the brain electricity instrument which can reflect nerve electricity activity directly and has high time resolution advantage as main apparatus, assisting with other datum, such as eye and hand in order to provide proofs for the position of the brain function of self-face recognition. The material of former researches all have external facial features, this research uses faces that have no external facial features and requests subjects to identify self-faces that present up-right or up-side-down in order to avoid confusion. Experiment one uses the eye tracker to record gaze time, number of fixation and deviation and analysis the differences between left and right side of faces for speculating whether "the face network" and "the self network" processing advantage both in the right hemisphere, and in the meantime it investigates subjects' gender effect upon the reaction;...
