A language and the culture of its speakers cannot be analyzed in isolation. Second language acquisition is accompanied by second culture acquisition. In reality, the implicit or explicit representations of culture are helpful for the teaching and learning of a language. According to the close relationship between culture and language, researchers propose immersion education program. Immersion education is an effective way to integrate second language acquisition with second culture acquisition.External factors (linguistic environment) and internal factors (learner factors) are both determinants of the learning process, through it, of the learning outcome. On one hand, linguistic environment exposes the language learner to input and interaction; on the other hand, learner factors determine the way in which the language learner deals with input and interaction. This paper is to study the young Chinese exchange students' (the YCESs') English learning in America mainly according to the theories of linguistic environment and learner factors. It tries to analyze the relationship between the YCESs' cultural integration and the outcomes of their English learning in America and find out the factors...
