The concept of nature, as the indiscerptible ingredient constituent of Weltanschauung, is the methodology of human kinds' cognition as well as remaking of nature. Marx's practical concept of nature, grounding on the fact that nature, prescribed by practice, is created, developed and humanized in the course of human beings' practicing, and laying emphasis on the unity of historical nature and practical nature, brings the changeover from the abstract Pre-Marxist concept of nature to a more practical one. The thesis falls into four parts:Part one examines pre-Marxist concept of nature, mainly under the rubrics of ancient naive dialectics, modern metaphysic and Hegel's speculative philosophy. The thesis, in the course of recapitulating their main arguments, points out their features and limitations in terms of philosophical mode of thinking,Part two focuses on the evolution as well as the characteristics of Marx's practical concept of nature.Part three discusses the main arguments of Marx's practical concept of nature. In the first instance, it is by means of practicing that Marx understands the nexus between human beings and nature. Practice results in the unity of the two opposites. In the next place, Marx holds that nature is historical, and vice versa. By way of practicing Marx in deed solves the problem of the dualistic unity of nature and history. Last but not least, the thesis indicates the triple taches and triple latitudes of Marxist practical liberty and addresses it self to the relationship of humanized nature and humankinds' freedom.Part four expatiates on the contemporary significance of Marx's practical concept of nature, which on the one hand provides us with theoretical resource both in response to the challenge of Western Marxist concept of nature and in the course of constructing new conformation of Marxist philosophy, and on the other hand practically guides the resolving of the problem of ecological crisis.
