The Studies On Zhuzi Philosophy In Pre-qin Days And Dynastic Legends In Early China Of Sarah Allan

The famous American scholar, Sarah Allan, has been a contemporary influential sinologist in the world because of her great achievements on the study of Oracle Bones and Bronzes. The researchers in China have given high praise to her achievements in sinology. She is also deeply interested in the ancient history in early China, and the Zhuzi philosophy before Qin Dynasty, and she has made great discoveries on these two aspects. Her research method is much different from the domestic researchers'. Allan's academic works about early Chinese history and the Zhuzi philosophy in Pre-qin Days have been translated and introduced to China recently, but domestic researchers haven't carried on careful study on them. On the foundation of her texts, this thesis discusses the special methodology angle of Pro. Sarah Allan, and studies the metaphor theory and the structuralism theory which had influenced Allan very much. I really hope her research achievements can provide certain reference to the corresponding studies in our nation.The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter talks about Allan's academic experience and her academic achievements; The second and the third chapter are about to discuss her study on the Zhuzi philosophy and legends in ancient history, to comb with the original opinions and viewpoints, as well as the theory which Allan analyzed the problems with. It is believed that these viewpoints and the research methods will improve our own study rapidly.This article is under Pro. The viewpoint "All the philosophy categories get from Water metaphor" , this thesis doesn't agree , because of the specialties of Chinese characters and the way of Chinese traditional thoughts.
